Ramon Beauchamp

Ramon Beauchamp writes field notes and features for Upper South Journal. He grew up in south Louisiana and spent his twenties bouncing between New Orleans, Houston, and a fishing camp on the Atchafalaya before a teaching offer brought him to a small university on the Cumberland Plateau in 2017. He stayed. He has published a slim novel and a chapbook of essays that he describes as "completely unread but technically in print," and he keeps a garden that he calls ambitious and disappointing in roughly equal measure.
