Vivian Gentry

Vivian Gentry is the features editor at Upper South Journal. Before joining the publication she spent nine years freelancing for Southern magazines and lifestyle quarterlies, with side trips into national food and travel titles when she could swing it. She holds an MFA she rarely talks about and has been working on the same essay collection for six years. Her father's family has been in Chattanooga since the 1920s and her mother is a retired pediatrician who emigrated from Seoul in the late 1970s.
